  • Pet peeves:

    - loud, obnoxious cars
    - people I don’t know that come into my bubble [example: I was standing in line at Starbucks and this guy was RIGHT behind me that I felt him touching my purse [not w/his hands].  So naturally, I scooted forward thinking that he needed more room, but he scooted forward too and we ended up exactly the same].  It would be one thing if there wasn’t any room, but there was plenty.
    - people who run into you, know it, but don’t apologize [so rude]
    - smelling puffs of weed at concerts that I’m trying to enjoy [it happened at U2 and it made me so nauseous]

Lord, help me to have more patience and love in these situations.

On a brighter note, here are some cute and funny images that Sunny sent me and Dave in an email titled ‘For the 2 Most Gifted Self-Induced Narcoleptics I know ;) ’ [b/c we're always tired].

  • It seems as though the whole world, or at least the majority dislikes po-po’s.  It’s understandable since most of the time it’s because they write those nasty citations where lots of money has to be shelled out and insurance goes up.  I used to really dislike po-po’s, and my heart used to beat faster when I saw one even if I knew I wasn’t doing anything wrong.  But I started realizing that there is no reason to dislike them.  They are merely doing their jobs.  We are the ones who are doing wrong by breaking the speed limits, not stopping completely at ‘Stop’ signs, etc.  Yet, when they catch us, we get all upset at them and call them jerks.  If they didn’t pull people over and give out tickets for breaking the law, I can’t imagine how much more dangerous the roads would be for us to drive on.

On another note, God has been blessing our business from the very start.  For any of you out there that have lifted a prayer for us, we are immensely grateful!  One of the huge blessings that we received is being featured on The Knot magazine [click here to view].  Right before submitting it to them, I asked the Lord to get us that feature.  When we found out that we were chosen, we were ecstatic!  Only God makes all of this possible!

  • God has especially been instilling this into my heart and mind these days:

Every moment of everyday I have a choice . . . a choice to be better, a choice to be complacent or a choice to be worse.

Of course, most of us would automatically want to make the choice to be better.  But in difficult and challenging circumstances [in disappointment, pain, anger or hurry], it’s dang hard.  But that’s why God is always there to help us.  We seek, He guides.  :)

To top it off, yesterday I was reading ‘The Purpose Driven Life’ and BAM!

“Every choice has eternal consequences, so you had better choose wisely.”
