  • No matter the rain or storm, when we are with God, there’s ALWAYS a rainbow waiting!

Whether you’re in a place of joy or sorrow, ALWAYS remain and trust in the Lord.  For those of you going through especially hard times, don’t let your circumstances dictate your life.  We ALL go through hard times in life – the difference is how we choose to face and handle them.

I’m going to tie that in with a post I wrote awhile back ———-

Every moment of everyday I have a choice . . . a choice to be better, a choice to be complacent or a choice to be worse.

Of course, most of us would automatically want to make the choice to be better.  But in difficult and challenging circumstances [in disappointment, pain, anger or hurry], it’s dang hard.  But that’s why God is always there to help us.  We seek, He guides.  :)

To top it off, yesterday I was reading ‘The Purpose Driven Life’ and BAM!

“Every choice has eternal consequences, so you had better choose wisely.”

  • Let me clarify . . . some people thought I was referring to people who call me Kim as a term of endearment [for example, a lot of guys call their friends by their last name].  I wouldn’t mind that at all.  I call a lot of people different nicknames and I like getting called by nicknames also.  What I was referring to was when people like customer service reps can’t read my debit card or invoice correctly and call me Kim [not Mrs. Kim] instead of Grace.

From looking at the response though, it looks like a lot of females with the last name Kim get that.  We should start a support group.  ;)

    ———-

Ever since my last name changed to Kim, I get called Kim all the time [people thinking that it's my first name].  Maybe I should change my name to Kim Grace and see what happens.  ;)  Do any of you other ladies with the last name Kim get that?  Just curious.

  • I got it I got it – I’ve been tagged apparently.  I was trying to avoid this xanga trend, but I think I’ll keep getting tagged until I actually post something, so here it is.

    Random things about me:

    1. Don’t read this one if you are sensitive to gore – I still cringe thinking about this.  I have a scar on my chin directly underneath my mouth.  Several years back, I got in a car accident where my chin bumped hard on the steering wheel making my teeth go through my chin.  The worst part was sitting in the emergency room at Harborview for about 7 hours before getting treated, and then getting a doctor who didn’t seem to know what he was doing and kept putting needles in my chin from the inside and outside.  My late bro, Donna and Stacy endured all those hours in the middle of the night waiting with me.  The surgery made my bottom lip lose some nerves so it’s always partially numb – so if I dribble food or drinks down my chin and onto my clothes, you’ll know why.

    2. I love pretty much any sport, but I dislike the sport of running.  I know you have to run in some sports but I don’t mind that b/c there’s motivation for me.

    3. I have been known to say that I don’t want kids.  It’s not that I don’t want kids – I love kids and I think it would be so much fun to see what our kids would look like and how they would turn out, etc.  But it’s this world | society that keeps getting worse that I don’t want them to face.  :T

    4. I love rain b/c it’s so refreshing.

    5. I very rarely spend full price on clothes.  I will look for sales and bargains any chance I get.  I’m not ashamed to say that I get most of my stuff at places like Nordstrom Rack.  This is a vast upgrade as I’ve pretty much grown up on hand-me-downs and thrift store clothes.  Even though it was hard growing up, I don’t think I would’ve had it any other way b/c it taught me valuable life lessons.

  • I am blessed, I am blessed
From when I rise up in the morning
‘Til I lay my head to rest
    I feel You near me
You sooth me when I’m weary
Oh Lord, for all the worst and all the best
    I am blessed

     ———-

I am blessed because I have remarkable friends

I am blessed because I have family that always support me and want the best for me

I am blessed because I have a husband who is devoted to loving me the best that he can every day [even though he made me wear a shirt that made me out to be a perv - see story below]

I am blessed because God loves me and takes care of my every need

I am blessed because of SO much more

    I am blessed
