  • Let me clarify . . . some people thought I was referring to people who call me Kim as a term of endearment [for example, a lot of guys call their friends by their last name].  I wouldn’t mind that at all.  I call a lot of people different nicknames and I like getting called by nicknames also.  What I was referring to was when people like customer service reps can’t read my debit card or invoice correctly and call me Kim [not Mrs. Kim] instead of Grace.

From looking at the response though, it looks like a lot of females with the last name Kim get that.  We should start a support group.  ;)

    ———-

Ever since my last name changed to Kim, I get called Kim all the time [people thinking that it's my first name].  Maybe I should change my name to Kim Grace and see what happens.  ;)  Do any of you other ladies with the last name Kim get that?  Just curious.

It’s so bad, actually, that for ordering stuff (like pizza and delivery stuff or putting stuff on hold), I just say my name is Kim. Do you ever feel like you’re a football player when people do that to you? I do. heh. Oh well. Welcome to the fam. =D You are one of the many Kim’s who get called Kim on a regular basis. God bless.
