Even though I put comics up for fun, I think we have a serious issue on our hands. I’ve heard so many people say that they don’t ’feel’ the Christmas spirit this year. I attribute the withering Christmas spirit to the society’s commercialism where retailers start displaying and selling Christmas items WAY before it’s necessary - this in turn makes the value and specialness of Christmas go down. Every year, it seems like they roll things out a little bit earlier than the previous year. Every time I see Christmas stuff out before we even celebrate Thanksgiving, I get irked. One holiday at a time people!
Also, I’m all about ‘political correctness’ but the pursuit of it is getting a little out of hand when we offend people by saying ‘Merry Christmas’. I have to admit that I’ve said ’Happy Holidays’ in fear of offending somebody in the past, but I’ve decided that I’m just giving into society then. There’s nothing wrong with ‘Happy Holidays’ except for when it’s said in fear of man. So this year, I’ve said ‘Merry Christmas’ to people with a big smile, and so far everyone has said it back with a smile.
Please spread Christmas cheer in any way you can – patience, giving, loving, smiling, etc.
It’s all about Jesus and what He did for all of us . . . the essence of peace, love and hope!
Merry Christmas everyone! May the TRUE joy of the season surround you!

I agree with everything you said. I hear you.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!! =)
HA merry christmas
Seriously…stuff start coming out in September and Starbucks thinks they can start Christmas whenever they want by playing Christmas music in early November. C’mon! I get really irked too. Ha ha. I saw this funny comic strip. Three kids are sitting in front of the principal’s office, in trouble. One kid said they’re sitting there because they said the “s” word. The next kid said they were in trouble for saying the “f” word. The last kid said he got in trouble for saying “Christmas.” Yeah…sad….but that’s how our society has come. Sad…so “Merry Christmas” I will say too.
Merrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy Christmas
thanks grace ^^ everything you wrote was much needed for me to hear and merry christmas!
Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes
for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress,
non-addictive, gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice
holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious
persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with
respect for the religious/secular persuasion and/or traditions of
others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions
at all.
I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling
and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally
accepted calendar year 2006, but not without due respect for the
calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society
have helped make America great. Not to imply that America is necessarily
greater than any other country nor the only America in the Western
Hemisphere. And without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical
ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishee.
=)
I agree with you about commercialism. I’m glad you guys waited until the first week of December to advertise for Christmas.

Merry Christmas Jinyoung!
I tend to talk to the manager of every store that does not wish a merry Christmas, and find out the reason why, and sometimes go to the trouble of finding out who made the decision and let them know that I disapprove. I see Starbucks as a shining example. Merry Chrismas!
MERRY CHRISTMAS to you and Hun too!!!! I have to admit I haven’t been feeling it also, but your post has encouraged me. THANKS!
