  • Whoa.  Just in the past two days, I was made aware that four people have passed away.  I didn’t know three of them because they were a close friend or family of my friends, but one of them I did know.  When I received the call last night from my close friend telling me one of her good friends passed away in a car accident, I started crying uncontrollably.  I didn’t know her that well, but all the emotions of losing Paul flooded over me and I felt deep sorrow for the family that lost her.

All this to say ‘LIVE EVERY DAY OF YOUR LIFE!’  When I say ‘live’ I’m not talking about society’s definition of partying it up, I mean live meaningfully so that it counts.  We don’t know what the future holds.

    Praise God everyday
    Learn something new everyday
    Be thankful everyday
    Say something nice everyday
    Give something everyday
    Improve yourself everyday
    Love everyday
    Smile everyday
    Laugh everyday
    Seize everyday
    . . .

My prayers go out to the families of those who mourn the death of their loved one.

  • thank you…i needed that…

  • powerful entry grace.. it seems like i’ve been hearing about a lot passings lately too. my coworker’s step son who we just saw in the office yesterday passed unexpectedly.. i also heard about melinda.. =/ Immanuel.. hang in there..

  • as i get older (i’m now 42) death becomes more of a reality, I  know of and hear about people passing away that are not too much older than me and it’s kinda scary. i’m not scared about dying but worry about those i leave behind that depend on me-  my wife and daughter and daughter on the way (we are adpoting a little girl from china)

sometimes i think i haven’t really accomplished anything significant in my life, then i remember Jesus prepared for 30 years and did an amazing ministry in just 3 years. looking to do great things for Him during the second half of my life!

thanks for your thoughts, its a good reminder.
