  • “If you want crappy things to stop happening to you, stop accepting crap and demand something more.”  Dr. Cristina Yang, Grey’s Anatomy

When I heard this, I thought about how we could all relate that to every part of our lives.

So many people settle these days.

My hope and God’s desire is for everyone to pursue the best and excellence . . . in friendships, in family, in career, in love.  Especially in the love department, don’t settle in relationships that are no good.

Trust that God wants the best for you, not 2nd class.  When you love someone, don’t you want the absolute best for them?  God’s capacity for love exceeds that of ours, so how much greater does He want the best for us?

    YOU DESERVE ONLY THE BEST!

  • yeah, so what george did was move out and crash on her couch. ha ha.

I think the greatest temptation in life is to compromise. Compromise our faith, compromise our values… the everyday little compromises that are the real struggle.

  • grace, i haven’t seen you forever. :( i hope all is well.

    complacency….sigh.

  • Amen. And may I add my own mass media quote: “Grab life by the balls”

  • that’s good…

  • is it weird to say that i was “convicted” by that quote too?  good thoughts good thoughts.

  • hmmm… that’s good, but also it doesn’t mean that crappy things won’t happen to you… Meaning… there’s always gonna be ups and downs, but it all depends on your reaction to the situation and how you handle things. You can’t just say… I don’t accept crap… cuz that’s gonna get you no where. There’s gotta be action with it. Crappy things are still gonna come your way, but it all depends on how you react to it.

  • how i’m learning that more and more these days as a parent.

  • i agree.
