Chicago
It was hard to get a shot because there were so many photographers from the seminar surrounding the same model[s], but I was able to snap a few images.
Melissa [in the 2 images above] was the one who organized the seminar. She has great energy that compliments René [her husband] and his gentle nature. They have a similar background as our company . . . René photographed as a hobby and then after marriage, Melissa encouraged him to start a business and they work together as a team.
[below] We went to the Navy Pier on one of the evenings and I photographed a random couple watching the beautiful fireworks.
[below] I photographed Heather [one of the people I met at the seminar] in the women’s restroom of our hotel. You can get a good shot even in the most unlikely places – it’s all about the angle.
[below] Heather and I at dinner [photo by Bob Davis]
[below] Dawn & Bob Davis from la Storia foto invited me to dinner and I was so honored to get to know their family. They are so generous and they have two adorable children. They photographed Oprah’s ‘Legends’ Luncheon and Ball and Bob is part of the Canon Explorers of Light to name just a few of their amazing accomplishments [photo by Heather Houston].
[below] Went on an adventure to downtown Chicago, Millennium Park. These faces were quite interesting, bordering on freaky, but pretty cool. They stare, blink, smile, and shoot water out of their mouths.
[below] Introducing the 110-ton elliptical sculpture a.k.a. ‘The Bean’ and it’s many angles.
[below] Under ‘The Bean’ [photo by Heather Houston]
[below] The office building had particular rooms lit that spelled ‘RUN!’ – I wish I knew the meaning behind it.
I also walked along the Magnificent Mile where it’s a shopper’s paradise, but I was alone at night so I didn’t want to bust out the camera just in case.
[below] This is a non-Chicago shot. This was from our hotel room in New York the week prior. Basically, there were two large mirrors on opposite end of the walls and it created a multidimensional effect.

Traveling takes a toll, but it’s so fun to see new places.
Speaking of . . . we’re going to Hawaii at the end of next month! My hubby was going to surprise me for my birthday gift, but he revealed the surprise early because I was feeling burnt out and he wanted to give me something to look forward to. This is HUGE for me as it is something I only dreamed of! Thank you love for your thoughtfulness and much much gratitude to Rebecca & the Oh family for your generosity!

yes…went last year sometime, and all we did was decide where to eat next. lunch, coffee, desert, walk around, snack, dinner, rinse & repeat. the one thing i was astounded by was how there were skyscraper office workers that could escape to the beach for lunch in 5 minutes.

Grace, it was so nice to meet you and Heather. We had a great time at dinner. Thank you for the compliments, our kiddos were a little wild that evening! It was such a pleasure meeting you both. Thank you for taking the time to meet with us. Your photos from your trip are wonderful… !!!! ~ Dawn

the “run” picture reminds me of the giant live tetris game some people created using that idea
Love the pics!

Thank you so much, noona (for the comment). : )
i think the run might be for the chicago marathon that’s coming up. =)
