Andrea and Drew’s special day in a Lake Las Vegas resort was the last in an intense three-weddings-in-a-row weekend for us, but our energy and spirit remained high as we knew we would spending time with an awesome couple. It wasn’t where one would think a typical Vegas wedding would be; it was away from all the flashy lights from The Strip and in a peaceful, serene area.
Everywhere you looked, it was beautiful. Above is where the ceremony was to be held.
[above] One of Andrea’s bridesmaids spent some time on the slot machines the night before in order to get a perfect 6 cents. A lucky sixpence in a bride’s shoe is a famous old good luck wedding tradition; placed in the bride’s shoe on her wedding day is a symbol of love, happiness and good luck.
It goes with this well-known saying: Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue and a lucky sixpence in her shoe.
Some images of the preparation process below.
I think that brides should give their phone to someone else on their wedding day so they don’t have to answer calls, but Andrea was gracious and picked up every call which kept her constantly on the phone.
[above] Andrea handmade these beautiful lariat necklaces herself as a gift to her bridesmaids.
The ceremony was very short and sweet. Poor Drew had to be in his suit in the hot desert heat. For wedding parties, women are lucky during summers while men suffer, and men are lucky during winters while women suffer.
Some fun shots of the couple and their wedding party below.
Of course everywhere you go in Vegas, there are always slot machines around, like the one above.
[above] This was something unique that I’ve never seen at a wedding before. They had knickknacks for guests to enjoy during the reception. There were dance lights that happened to hit just the father’s face while trying on his goofy glasses. Her reaction = priceless.
They were easygoing and such a pleasant couple to be around. Every time you looked at them, they would have so much fun just being together.

Hi Grace!! Hope you’re doing well without your appendix
wow, some flu symptoms huh. I miss seeing you! I bump into Hun at UW every once in a while so I don’t miss him so much though haha. I was at Melrose Florist the other day when I saw your business cards and promotional stuff. I was still processing that when Susie came out from the back and I was like ‘hey! i know you!’ It was a pleasant surprise. anyway, my favorite pic is definitely the one with the jumping w/ the parasol.
