2007 . Carpe diem
Hope everyone’s 2007 is off to a fabulous start!
Hun and I are currently in our hotel near San Francisco and about to shoot our first wedding of the year tomorrow.
As the new year quickly came upon us, I pondered whether to make resolutions or not. There are many people who make them, but more often I hear of people not making them because they know they’ll break them. If you haven’t already, I encourage you to make at least one resolution – make an effort, try your best, and live life with purpose; don’t be defeated before you even start.
Of course there are tons of things we want to work on, but this year we decided to especially focus on our health and wellbeing. We’re not getting any younger and we need to treat our bodies as a holy temple.
1. Sleep earlier. This past year, the average time we’ve been going to sleep is about 5am, often giving us anywhere from 3-5 hours of sleep. No matter how busy we are, we shouldn’t neglect our time of rest.
2. Drink more water.
3. Lessen the amount of yummy but bad food intake.
4. Do some type of physical activity at least once a week.
Some of these might seem silly, but to us, it’s a huge challenge.
2007 just got started but there is so much to look forward to! More of our friends are getting married, having babies and turning 30!
I can’t help but be excited for more adventures to come! Let’s make it an awesome year!
Stay tuned for the next edition of ‘style & grace’ and more . . .

no LA shoots anytime soon?
5AM? wow… that’s awefully late! I think your resolutions are great. I gotta follow them myself… I’m a fan of you and Hun’s work btw. Keep up the good work! God bless.
will you two be saying hi to hannah? btw, turning 30 is no big deal… =)
thanks grace! We missed you guys much! I hope your travels were well… you’re lucky though. I would love to be in the Bay area (my hometown) and eat yummy Chinese food, walk around in the fishermen warf and go to Chinatown.
As for new year resolution, I have the same ones as you. Great minds think alike.
Hi Grace, welcome to SF! Let me know if you need any restaurant recommendations.
does that mean i can’t run off with the little carmel pieces anymore because you won’t have any around? if so, that sucks : )
happy new year!
ahhh i love SF, it’s a great place to visit. i need to borrow some of your resolutions. it is sad that most people treat their cars better than their own bodies…i’m one of them. i didn’t make any resolutions this year, however, i just might after your post. Have a wonderful trip!
happy new year. may 2007 bring you more success! hopefully i’ll get to visit seattle and meet up w/ you guys again.

CARPE DIEM!!!!!!!!!!! So are all the ‘hiking emails’ related to your number 4 resolution?
Here’s to a fabulous, spectacular, mind-blowingly, stupendous 2007! Wish yall were just 5 hours south of San Fran
unfortunately, i’m also on the list for turning 30 this year. *sigh*
you two are the cutest.
wish i lived in seattle.
wow sleeping at 5am O_O!??! i love sleep too much.. and wah wish i could have said something to you guys today at nordstrom haha, darn cell phones!
My new year’s resolution began before the new year – getting to bed earlier, I totally understand that one. Exercise without a gym? That will require determination for me. And making an effort to trust God more, that’s everyday. Thanks for sharing.
