  • Family is such a beautiful thing. I had the honor of photographing these precious families.

[below] For Gretchen‘s mother’s special birthday this year, all the sisters and their families got together for a session to present to her as a gift.

[below] Levi was a ring bearer at a wedding we photographed recently, and they contacted us the next day to set up a session.

  • Laina and Jed were destined to be together starting with their last names – Diamond and Silversmith. You really know a man loves a woman when he gets shots all the time because of his allergy to her cat.

[below] It’s hard to tell from this angle, but I think her diamond is the biggest one that I’ve personally known someone to have. I guess when you have a last name like Diamond, you have to live up to it.

[below] All the gals had matching robes with their names embroidered on them. Since they were so high up, they decided to have a little fun and flash Seattle.

[below] One of the bridesmaids’ shoes had hearts on the bottom, an appropriate detail for the occasion.

[below] Laina did something unique and special where she had different bouquets made for each bridesmaid.

[below] They had guests sign smooth, flat stones in lieu of a guestbook.

[below] Even the table covers were fabulous!

[below] Right after the ceremony, they had a private dinner during the cocktail hour. That way, it made sure they ate and have more time with guests during the reception.

[below] So impressed with the centerpieces. All floral work done by Flora Nova Design.

[below] The Michael Benson Band is one of the best around – they know how to liven up a room!

  • You might remember a post I made some months back. ‘What The Duck’ is a comic relief for most photographers [we're under 'News' on the left] .

Our good buddies who also happen to be photographers, Jane and John surprised us with a comic strip customized just for us [enlarged and framed] as an anniversary gift. Thanks you guys for your creative and thoughtful gift!

  • Kimberly and James, Kimmy and Jimmy, Kim and Jim . . . different combinations of names they are called by friends and family. Like I said from their engagement session, they are so down-to-earth!

[below] Love the spideroos that Hun caught!

Kim and Jimmy made sure there was ample time for portraits so we had a lot of time to work with for fabulous and relaxed portraits. Jimmy is really relaxed below.

[below] The ring bearer was a little shy.

[below] Both have beautiful blue eyes.

[below] Adding to my feet shot collection.

[below] I can just see it in the father’s face saying, ‘Take good care of my daughter.’

[below] I was nicely surprised to see Dr. Leslie Parrott [far left] in attendance. Her and her husband Les are famous for their relationship expertise. My husband and I attended their “Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts” seminar when we were engaged. This gives me a nice opportunity to say how very important it is to work on preparing for marriage. It’s so easy to be consumed by planning for the wedding day and neglect the most important part – working on the ’til death do us part’. This is one of my biggest passions.

[below] Espresso bar and cute barista

[below] Notice Kim’s patent pink shoes which she changed into for the reception. A big trend this year has been about having a different color for bridal shoes or having a second pair that’s a different color.

  • We made it to 4 years love! Here’s to many MANY more!

  • Teressa was a florist at one of the weddings we photographed last year, and we’re excited for her union to Ryan this year. Ryan is the first guy that she ever kissed – I think that is ultra sweet and admirable.

[below] I don’t get bored of photographing feet.

[below] This location isn’t known to be romantic, but we needed some light to work with so we just pulled into the closest area. Didn’t matter where we were, the spark in their romance was enough.

  • Estelle and Hyo held their celebration at a private club. Another beautiful wedding with this lovely couple.

[below] For the guys’ preparation time.

    [below] So deep in thought

[below] Gotta love the sister’s reaction

    [below] Be warned.

[below] Oh no you di-n’t Estelle!

[below] This couple’s version of the dance where the fish is reeled in was the best I’ve seen yet. Just look at his face!

  • Sue and Brandon made sure they enjoyed every moment of their celebration. Sue kept telling us all day that it’s been her dream for us to shoot her wedding. What a total sweetheart! It was impressive that even with eight bridesmaids, everyone got ready on time.

    [below] She didn’t need a purse. ;)

[below] Random passerbyers captivated by her beauty.

    [below] The ladies

    [below] The gents

[below] It was windy so they needed extra help lighting their unity candle. I think it’s symbolic of how it is in real life.

[below] The decor and motif of the wedding all tied in together – from her dress to the table covers to the party favors . . .

[below] One of their special touches was that they handed each guest an individually wrapped gift.
