The Next Dr. Phil
I was just sharing yesterday with a close one what my philosophy on relationships has always been . . . instead of focusing on finding Mr. or Mrs. Right, focus on bettering yourself in all aspects, which will make you more attractive. Then, I came home and stumbled across this little gem that supports my philosophy.
I can’t call myself a marriage expert just yet since I’ve been married a humble four years, but I can imagine that same philosophy goes for sustaining a strong marriage.
I’ll leave you with an image from another fabulous wedding we’ll share soon.

Lauren and Jesse held their celebration in a serene estate in an island in New Jersey.
It was an emotional start for Lauren and the ladies as she shared how much she loved them.

We didn’t even know a venue like this existed in the greater Seattle area until we showed up at Miya and Dwayne’s wedding day. Landmark On The Sound is a beautiful historic structure with lots of old-fashioned charm.

[below] Sometimes the tuxedo shops are way off.

[below] Of course guys are always done getting ready with a quickness so there’s always more portrait time for the groom and his men.

[below] Miya’s personal fan.

[below] I think this shot is going to be my favorite one I captured this year. Miya and her mother were having a private moment before Miya walked down the aisle and I’m sure they were both filled with many emotions at that very moment. The art behind them brings another powerful element into this. My own dear mother is dealing with an illness right now so this mother-daughter scene is even more precious to me. I totally believe that moms are God’s gift to the world. I love both my moms so much.

[below] He almost made it, but I think the pressure got to him. No matter what unpredictable things kids do, they always bring the ‘Awww’ factor.

[below] Dwayne’s mother welcomed Miya into the family by crowning her as a queen. Now that’s what you call a royal initiation.

Dwayne was so funny! He said, “Everyone, please make sure you get some cake. I paid some good money for it. Make sure you take a favor too. I paid good money for those.” So the lesson here is, when you attend weddings, make sure you take your party favor – the bride and groom spend time and/or money to provide them.

[below] Great party favor idea – milk and cookies!

[above] I think she really wanted to catch the bouquet.

[below] Too funny – this little one would dance and pose and then go see what she looked like in the picture.

[below] We thought we were really out of it and there was a new technique where you dance with your phone, but turns out that it was fan that looked like a phone.

Rose and Edward were the lucky couple who got married on the luckiest day of the century 07.07.07!

[below] Intense focus on the gown. I love it when I see other styles of gowns for a refreshing change rather than the usual strapless.

[below] Mom admiring her daughter’s beauty.

[below] Woops, lost a shirt.

[below] I believe Rose said that she’s usually not a crier, but it just flowed on her special day.

[below] I think this is my all time favorite detail shot. I just happened to be walking by a wall with a bunch of bible verses, and ‘love’ just popped out at me.

[below] Rose’s gorgeous hair was a huge hit!

[below] If you follow our blogs, you know Janet and Tony well.

[below] They’re already in sync.

[below] Of course the ever-so-popular photo booth.

[below] Notice that someone is toasting with a baby bottle.

[below] My mouth is watering as I look at this. So delish!

[below] I’m not sure what the Maid of Honor was telling the couple, but it was an emotional one.

[below] No mercy.
