[below] I couldn’t decide which angle of the ring I liked best so I posted all four of them starting with the oh-so-coveted tiffany blue box.

    [below] Some alone time

[below] Practicing their cue. Paul was so good at training Gloria’s 1st graders.

[below] 5 more minutes before Ms. Dang shows up!

    [below] Showtime!

Mr. Paul and Ms. Dang talked to each other in their professional voices – too cute!

[below] You can’t see the far right sign, but all together it says, “MS. DANG WILL YOU MARRY MR. PAUL?”

    [below] Class picture

[below] Kathy the Principal and some of the staff at Beverly Park Elementary School were a tremendous help!

[below] Mr. Paul brought a huge bag of treats to thank them for helping him out.

[below] Time to go back to class for the end of the year party.

[below] Other classes came out to the hallway to find out the great news as well.

  • Adorable family alert! Pastor Michael and Mink, individually and collectively, are people whom I admire greatly. Their hearts are of gold, characteristics are of genuine love and passion, and teachings are rock solid. Their family is so dear to me, and I had the pleasure of photographing them before they leave for California. They have been such a blessing to the greater Seattle community and they will be sorely missed.

  • On Air

Looking forward to future travels . . .

A snippet from the article – “The spacious interior of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner allows passengers—regardless of seating assignment or class—a restful flight. The “double bubble” design offers the widest area of the passenger cabin at shoulder height, optimizing space and comfort. Another distinction is windows that are 65 percent larger and can be dimmed to block out sunlight but still allow a view of what’s below.”

  • We would like to pay homage to this wonderful online community called Xanga because Veda is one of the brides who found us while browsing through. Veda and Jake definitely paid attention to so many details and planned a spectacular celebration!

[below] Veda chose a gorgeous Lazaro gown. Her wedding dress search was even more special because she personally met and took a picture with the designer himself!

[below] We had a view of Lake Washington and the Seattle skyline from the Presidential Suite.

[below] Jake’s jacket needed an emergency fix – what a handy guy!

    [below] Some of their portraits

    [below] Precious flowergirl

[below] Before the ceremony, they had fresh donut holes for their guests to enjoy.

[below] Details can make such a big impact on the ambiance. Jake’s sister did an incredible job on the floral design. And Jake’s other sister made the cookie favors – she baked over 1000 exquisite cookies!

[below] Veda’s mother hand-adorned each little embellishment into Veda’s Laotian dress.

[below] One of the flowergirls imitating the dancer

[below] Outfit change. I bet Veda wanted to stay in that comfy robe. ;)

[below] An up and coming photographer

[below] For the bouquet toss, she did something unique. It wasn’t limited to singles only. And when she threw the bouquet, it separated into a bunch of little bouquets. It made many of the ladies very happy. Their reactions = priceless.

[below] The other gal pictured was on the same cheer squad as Veda, and she is the one that introduced Veda to Jake.

[below] Tina from The Westin Bellevue is such a sweetheart. Loved working with her!

  • “When Are You Having Kids?”

Sound familiar to anyone? If you are married without children, you can probably relate. Hun and I have been married for almost four years, but we are not wanting the baby stork to drop any on our porch just yet. We have so many things we want to accomplish right now, and the reality is that having a baby would limit that since we would like to be very active parents.

With that said, my own mother is my hero and I have the utmost respect for ALL mothers!

Until our clock starts tickin’, we get to enjoy all of our friends’ precious babies.

Presenting one of my best friends Tina and Tim . . .

    Then came Connor . . .

    And now Sam!

  • I am featured and honored. :)

  • People ask if I’m sick of weddings yet. Not even a little bit. I love how each couple is so unique – their style, their personality, their dynamic. I love love.

No matter how many times we photograph at a location for an engagement or a wedding, we always strive to make it fresh. No session is alike [aka cookie-cutter]. How do we do that? We assess each couple’s individuality and work with it. Almost every single couple that we’ve photographed have mentioned that they are not comfortable in front of the camera. I don’t blame them. Most of us don’t pose for a living. So Hun and I do our best to make everyone feel comfortable while having fun, which in turn makes for better images. That’s why we love to photograph engagement sessions – not only do we get to know each couple better, the couple becomes more comfortable with us and the camera.

Consecutive Seattle sunshine for our three fabulous couples!
